Cancellation Policy, Terms & Conditions

By placing an order or booking with Mary Ella's Boutique & Gifts, you agree to the following terms and conditions:


1. Order Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. Please review the following policies based on the type and timing of your order:

Buyer’s Remorse (Online/Self-Placed Orders Only)

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of purchase are eligible for a 95% refund.
  • A 5% processing fee is non-refundable to cover credit card transaction costs.
  • This policy does not apply to:
    • Event orders
    • Special/custom orders
    • Retainer fees

2. Event Retainer Fees

  • Retainer fees and deposits are non-refundable.
  • These fees secure your event date and initiate preparations.
  • Cancelling your event forfeits the retainer.

3. Supply Chain Notice

Due to global supply chain challenges and advance bulk purchasing:

  • No refunds will be issued for payments made outside of the Buyer’s Remorse window.
  • This policy remains in effect until further notice to ensure quality service and timely fulfillment.

4. Event, Decoration, or Special Orders

Cancellations Less Than 14 Days Before Delivery/Event Date

  • No refunds will be issued.
  • Materials may have already been purchased or your order may be in production.
  • You may reschedule your order at no additional cost with at least 5 days’ written notice (via email).

Cancellations 14 Days or More Before Delivery/Event Date

  • You will receive a 50% credit on file.
  • This credit reflects costs already incurred for materials, labor, and lost booking opportunities.

5. Rescheduling Policy

  • You may reschedule your event with at least 7 days’ notice.
  • Delivery/event dates may be changed up to two (2) times.
  • Rescheduling does not alter the original cancellation terms.
  • Rescheduled events must occur within 90 days of the original event date.
    • Example: If your original event was January 1, you may reschedule up to April 2.
  • If a new date cannot be secured within 30 days of your rescheduling request, your order may be considered void. Any credit issued will be at our discretion and is not guaranteed.

6. Fixture Damage or Loss

  • Any fixtures, equipment, or decor items provided by Dothan Balloon Company for your event must be returned in their original condition.
  • If any items are damaged, lost, or stolen, a replacement or repair fee will be charged to the client.
  • The fee will be assessed based on the item’s value and the extent of the damage.
